2024 Ethics Workshop "Complex Ethical Dilemmas during End of Life Care"

"Complex Ethical Dilemmas during End of Life Care" Presented by Dr. Kevin Wack, Clinical Ethicist at Emory Healthcare Join Dr. Kevin Wack as he discusses ethical dilemmas faced during end of life care, reviews strategies for preventing ethical dilemmas related to code status, and debates the ethicality of current code status trends. Attendees will review ethical dilemmas related to patient preference and develop strategies for dealing with difficult situations, such as when a family overrides patient preference. By the end of the session, participants will break into groups and use their knowledge to discuss ethical cases while working together towards a resolution using an ethical framework to address issues and resolve dilemmas at end of life.
